Our Beliefs

About God
God is Creator and Ruler of the universe.  He has eternally existed in three personalities: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God, more commonly known as the "Trinity."

  • God - The Father
  • God - The Son (Jesus)
  • God - The Holy Spirit

About Eternal Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless, human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death which was witnessed by many over the course of 40 days.  He ascended into heaven's glory, also in the very sight of many, and now He is seated at the right hand of God the Father and will return again someday to Earth to reign as KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS.

About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world today to convict non-Christians of their sin and to make men aware of their need for the Lord Jesus Christ. He begins to live in every Christian at the time they are accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and He remains in Christians until the day Jesus returns. He provides the Christian with power for living right and gives understanding of spiritual truths. He gives every Christian a spiritual gift or gifts when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.

About the Bible
The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

About Salvation
Salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works.  Only by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from the penalty of sin, which is death.  Eternal life begins the moment one receives the Lord Jesus Christ into his or her life by faith.

About Eternal Security
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus, the true Christian is secure in that salvation for an eternity.  If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot "lose" it.  All of our righteous acts are as filty rags before God in light of earning salvation.  However, after trusting Jesus Christ as your personal savior, God expects us to serve Him, which is the proper way to say "thank you" for the gift of salvation. Man cannot do anything to earn salvation. He cannot do anything to keep salvation, nor can the Christian do anything to lose salvation.
